ACURIL Academic and Special Libraries & IT Sig Call for Papers

Just a reminder that the deadline to submit a proposal for one of these sessions is April 1st

The 47th ACURIL Conference to be held in Puerto Rico on June 4-8, 2017 is fast approaching.  The Conference Theme is “Multidisciplinary Research in the Caribbean:  A Collaborative Approach.” With that theme in mind, we have started planning the sessions that will be held by the Academic Libraries and Special Libraries and Information Technologies Special Interest Group during the conference and we would like to ask for your participation.

Our sessions will focus on the following conference subthemes:

  • Innovative Research in Caribbean Libraries, Archives and Museums (Monday, June 5th)
  • Research in Caribbean Ecology, Architecture and Health (Wednesday, June 7th)

We would like to have two speakers on each of these themes.  Each presentation should be 20 minutes in length. You may want to focus on the following in your presentation:

  • Innovative services offered at your library/archive/museum to support the research needs of community served
  • Use of digital technologies to support the research cycle/process at your library/archive/museum

Please let me know if you are interested in speaking at one of the sessions and provide a brief summary of your proposed paper to me as soon as possible.  Please include contact information and job affiliation. I look forward to hearing from you.

Please send a summary of your proposed paper to:  barry.baker@ucf.edu by April 1, 2017.

I look forward to hearing from you.
